For more than 30 years, I’ve worked in the janitorial industry right here in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving everything from medical buildings to office complexes and HOAs. I’ve been fortunate to grow a successful company with over 50 employees — but I’ve also seen how little the industry has changed.

Most janitors in California are immigrants. They are some of the hardest-working and most honest people I’ve ever known. Yet because of the way the industry is structured, cleaners are often paid close to minimum wage while clients pay far more than they should.

I always admired what Uber did for drivers — giving them independence, better earnings, and direct relationships with customers. That’s what inspired CleanIntell.

By using a platform model, we remove the middleman. Clients save money. Cleaners earn more. And for the first time, cleaners and clients can communicate directly through our system, with built-in translation so nothing is lost.
